Access All Eirias A Major Success!

This weekend Orchard produced the first major concerts at Eirias Stadium in Colwyn Bay - judged a major success after thousands spent the day in Parc Eirias for an Olympic Celebration Day and a concert featuring Only Boys Aloud, Mike Peters, Sophie Evans plus a live screening of the Olympics Opening ceremony, and then on Saturday Olly Murs, Pixie Lott, Cover Drive and others wowed a crowd of 12,000 in the Stadium to bring the very first Access All Eirias to a close.

Iwan Davies, Chief Executive of Conwy County Borough Council said: “North Wales celebrated the opening of the Olympics in style. It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves across the two days, with the best of Welsh entertainment and a host of family activities on Friday, and some of the country’s biggest artists playing to a huge excited crowd this evening. It’s been a fantastic weekend for Colwyn Bay and  North Wales, Eirias Stadium is a perfect venue for concerts such as these, and we would love to see Access All Eirias become an annual event.”
