Orchard is currently planning the 4th Soundtrack International Film and Music Festival, which will take place in Cardiff and Newport between 14th-18th November 2011. The festival, funded by the Film Agency for Wales and backed by the Major Events Unit, explores the relationship between music and the moving image, and over the past 2 events has attracted Oscar winners Danny Boyle (Director: Slumdog Millionaire) and Gabriel Yared (Composer: The English Patient), as well as distinguished guests such as Jonathan Pryce and John Cale to Cardiff.

Its diverse programme, which also supports the best in new Welsh filmmaking talent alongside internationally renowned names, has attracted considerable national media coverage from the likes of BBC’s The Culture Show and BBC Sunrise, The Guardian & Observer, and BBC Radio 2.
